ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has expanded property tax to all areas of the Islamabad while approved a hike in tax rates.
Residents of various housing societies, including Bahria Town and Bahria Enclave, located in Islamabad jurisdiction will now pay the property tax under revised policy.
Previously, some of the areas and housing societies were exempted from the property tax.
Now, the areas have been added to the list in order to boost revenue collection.
Under the new policy, owners of the five-marla houses in Bahria Town and Bahria Enclave will pay Rs27,000 property tax per year while it will be Rs298,000 on six-kanal houses.
In Park Enclave, the development authority would receive Rs25,000 tax on house measuring 140 yards and Rs227,000 per year on houses constructed on plot size of 2000 yards.
