ISLAMABAD – In recent news, a PIA plane bound for Quetta has averted a major disaster after its engine was hit by a bird and it had to land at Islamabad.
According to sources, a quetta-bound flight took off on Sunday and immediately after take-off was hit with a bird strike to its engine.
Sources suggest that the pilot started receiving the signal from the automatic sensors below the engines and was alerted of the situation.

Afterwards, instead of going to Quetta, the plane made an emergency landing at Islamabad Airport right after its take-off.
Luckily, no one was injured and all souls on board were safe and sound and the passengers were escorted to their destination via another flight.
The plane was grounded at the Islamabad Airport and Engineers had been called in for inspection of the Engine to see the extent of damages caused by the strike.
An incident which could’ve been disastrous has been averted by the vigilance and skill of the Pakistani pilots.
