Local media reports suggest that Nishat Group is planning to introduce Chery’s electric and plug-in hybrid SUVs in Pakistan. The anticipated models include the Omoda E5, an all-electric SUV, and the Jaecoo J7 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid vehicle. These vehicles are part of Chery’s export strategy through its sub-brands, Omoda and Jaecoo, which focus on new energy vehicles (NEVs).

The Jaecoo J7 PHEV, available internationally, features a 1.5T DGI hybrid engine with a combined output of 341 bhp and 525 Nm torque. It offers an electric driving range of 90 km and a combined range of 1,200 km, making it a practical option for both city and long-distance travel.
