Abdul Aleem Khan, the Federal Minister for the Board of Investment, Privatisation, and Communications, met with Mikayil Jabbarov, the Minister for Economy, in Azerbaijan.
They talked on a variety of bilateral issues, particularly investment across several industries.
Aleem Khan invited the Azerbaijani government to participate in the privatisation of state-owned companies, including PIA, Utility Stores, Zarai Taraqiati Bank, and Discos.
There is no question, he continued, that both Pakistan and Azerbaijan can boost their trade volume.
Similar to this, there is more room for investment in LNG and renewable energy, while other sectors including IT, communications, agriculture, and energy are also accessible.
Aleem Khan extended an invitation to Azerbaijan to participate in the Karachi to Sukkur Motorway M6 project. This route is the busiest since it connects directly to the seaport.
Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, said he was happy that direct flights from Pakistan to Baku increased travel to the country.
Aleem Khan was welcomed with open arms by him, and he promised full cooperation from the Azerbaijani government.
Both ministers praised the strong and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and said they hoped they would continue to grow in the days ahead.
