The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has officially revoked the Layout Plan (LOP) and No Objection Certificate (NOC) of the Islamabad Gardens Housing Scheme situated in Sector E-11, Islamabad.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has officially cancelled the approval and No Objection Certificate (NOC) of the Islamabad Gardens Housing Scheme, a project of the Multi Professionals Co-operative Housing Society. The decision was announced through a formal letter issued by the CDA’s Directorate of Housing Societies, Planning Wing, to the society’s president.
According to the CDA, the cancellation came after repeated warnings and notices issued between 2011 and 2025. The Islamabad Gardens scheme was originally approved in June 2005 over an area of 811 kanals, with specific conditions related to land use, planning, and infrastructure development. However, the authority said the developers repeatedly violated these conditions. The CDA cited major violations, including unauthorized land-use changes, encroachments, poor infrastructure development, and failure to comply with planning regulations.
Despite several reminders, the society did not correct the irregularities or submit required progress reports. The CDA also discovered that parts of the scheme were being marketed and sold without proper approval, misleading buyers. In its order, the CDA stated that the project’s Layout Plan and NOC now stand withdrawn, and any sale or development under the name Islamabad Gardens will be considered illegal.
Citizens have been warned to avoid any transactions with the society and verify housing projects only through CDA’s official website or the Directorate of Housing Societies. The authority explained that the decision followed detailed reviews and multiple inspections confirming the violations. It added that this action is part of a broader effort to ensure transparent and regulated urban development in Islamabad and to take strict measures against unauthorized housing projects in the capital.
