The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has formed a four-member committee to supervise and ensure the full operation of the International Center for Tax Excellence (ICTE).
To oversee and operationalize the center, the FBR has formed a Monitoring Committee. Muhammad Iqbal, a BS-21 officer of the Inland Revenue Service and Member Admin/HR, will chair the committee. Other members include Member Audit/CRM Ahmad Shuja Khan, Member Reforms & Modernization Ardsher Saleem Tariq, and Chief International Taxes Fida Muhammad from the Directorate General of International Tax Operations.
The ICTE aims to enhance tax-related operations, focusing on international tax matters, compliance, and reforms. The committee will ensure smooth functioning and implementation of policies for better tax governance.
This initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to modernize the tax system and improve revenue collection. The FBR continues to take measures to strengthen tax administration and promote transparency.
