ISLAMABAD – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogr) on Monday hiked price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) with effect from October 1, 2024.
Ogra has issued a notification in this regard, stating that LPG price has been increased by Rs7.31 per kilogramme, setting new price at Rs251.30 per kg.
Similarly, the price of domestic cylinder has been hiked by Rs86 to Rs2,965.38.
The cylinder price stood at Rs2,879.10 for September 2024.
Meanwhile, the federal government will announce new petrol, and diesel price for the next fortnight to align the rates with international market.
Amid rumours of a fifth price cut, a section of media claimed the federal government is likely to maintain the current price of petrol while possibly implementing a slight drop in the ex-depot price of high-speed diesel.
For first half of October, petrol is expected to remain at Rs249.10 per litre, as the existing rates of the petroleum levy (PL) and general sales tax (GST) on fuel products are expected to remain unchanged.
