RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir interacted with Pakistan Army veterans at reception on Independence Day where he honored the contributions of former officers and personnel, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The country’s top general underscored the essential role of unity and resilience in confronting Pakistan’s current challenges during the reception he hosted as the country turned 77 on Wednesday.
General Asim urged veterans to continue contributing to country’s progress and development, acknowledging their significant dedication and role in shaping the nation’s history.

COAS also addressed the threat posed by fake news and propaganda, warning that such efforts are designed to weaken the connection between the people and the Armed Forces. He reassured that these attempts would fail due to the unwavering support of both the public and the veterans.
The veterans expressed their confidence in the Army’s leadership and pledged their support in addressing security challenges. The event highlighted the strong and enduring bond between the Pakistan Army and its veterans, showcasing their shared commitment to national prosperity and security.
