ISLAMABAD – The driving license fee for various categories have been increased massively in Islamabad, months after Punjab announced whooping hike in fee structure.
The office of the chief commissioner Islamabad has issued a notification in this regard, stating that the new fee structure for driving licenses will come into effect immediately.
Fee Structure of New Driving License in Islamabad
The Islamabad administration has hiked the fee for learner driving permit with six months validity to Rs1,000 from previous Rs349.
The fee for the motorcycle + motorcar driving license in non-professional category has been increased to Rs3,000 from Rs1,800.
The fees for professional license (LTV and HTV) has also been increased from Rs2,100 to Rs10,000. However, the fee for digital driving license card has been jacked up to Rs2,000.
New Fee Structure for Driving License Renewal in Islamabad
The renewal fee of driving license within 30 days has been increased to Rs2,000 while it will be Rs3,500 after thirty days but within one year of the license expiry.
The renewal fee for driving licence within three years of the expiry has been jacked up to Rs3,000 in Islamabad.
The fee for the renewal of the learner permit was increased to Rs500 while duplicate licence fee has been fixed at Rs3,000.
