ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is all set to hold general elections for seats of the National Assembly and four provincial assemblies amid terror threats and militant attacks.
The polling will begin at 8:00 am while it will be closed at 5:00 pm. The government has announced a public holiday on February 8, the Election Day, to allow people use their voting right freely.
The elections will be held on 265 seats of National Assembly and 590 seats of four provincial assemblies. A total of 5,121 candidates are in the race for the National Assembly seats while for the four provincial assemblies, 12,695 candidates are in the field.
There are a total of 128,585,760 registered voters in the country.
Voter Slip for Elections 2024
There are two ways to get the voter slip for the election 2024:
Firstly, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in collaboration with NADRA provides SMS service for the public to facilitate the eligible voters to check their registration status. The public can get the information by entering CNIC number and sending a text message to the number 8300.
An automated response will be received in this regard with the name of the electoral area, block code, and serial number.
Every registered voter can check his/her particulars by visiting their respective District Election Commissioner’s office, where the final electoral roll is available.
