Pakistan and China celebrated 97th anniversary of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) at General Headquarters (GHQ) with Ambassador Jiang Zaidong as Chief Guest.
A statement shared by ISPR said Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir praised PLA’s contributions to China’s defense and highlighted strong Pakistan-China relations based on mutual trust. The event emphasised ongoing bilateral military cooperation and solidarity in combating terrorism, underscoring the enduring friendship and military ties between China and Pakistan.
COAS emphasized the exceptional nature of Pakistan-China relations, noting their resilience amid strategic challenges, built on mutual trust and steadfast support, and highlighted the robust ties underscoring ongoing bilateral military cooperation as a testament to the enduring brotherhood between the two nations.
Chinese Ambassador also expressed gratitude to Army Chief for hosting the event marking the 97th anniversary of PLA’s founding. Ambassador acknowledged Pakistan’s frontline role in countering terrorism, emphasizing its sacrifices for regional peace and stability.
He reaffirmed China’s commitment to collaboration in combating terrorism and expressed confidence in the enduring friendship and military brotherhood between China and Pakistan.
