RIYADH – The Gulf Cooperation Countries have introduced a revolutionary initiative with the launch of the “GCC Grand Tours” unified tourist visa.
This visionary visa regime aims to facilitate seamless travel across the Gulf Cooperation Council nations, promoting tourism and cultural exchange within the region. The new visa will allow tourists to stay in the Gulf countries for more than 30 days. The issuance of visas is expected to launch later this year.
The announcement of the “GCC Grand Tours” visa was made by the United Arab Emirates Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, during the opening of the annual travel and tourism event Arabian Travel Market (ATM) that began this Monday.
With the “GCC Grand Tours” visa, travelers can discover the diverse attractions, historical sites, and natural wonders spanning across member states, fostering closer ties and enhancing the overall tourist experience. GCC Grand Tours visa marks a significant step forward in simplifying travel procedures and promoting collaboration among GCC nations to boost their tourism industries.
This new visa will allow tourists to travel to all 6 Gulf countries under a single unified visa, just like in Europe. This is going to greatly benefit the tourists of the countries and foster a much better relationship between the countries themselves as well.
The Gulf countries that are included in the GCC Grand Tours visa are as below.
United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)
Kuwait
Qatar
Bahrain
Oman
Moreover, these countries have well-established land routes and are well-connected with each other through land and air. This is going to help the tourists travel between the states once the visa has been finalized.
