ABUDHABI – Travel agencies inside and outside of the UAE are ready to introduce packages for travelers visiting the Gulf region before the issuance of the unified GCC tourist visa, named GCC ‘Grand Tours’ visa.
In this regard, industry executives stated that packages will include a few nights’ stays, travel, and sightseeing across three GCC countries. The total cost range is approximately Dh4,000 to Dh5,000 and more for visitors who like to explore the region.
Although the travel agencies have announced the packages for exploring the region, the official announcement for the Grand Tours Visa is yet to be disclosed.
During a ministerial discussion at the Arabian Travel Market last week it was mentioned that the GCC ‘Grand Tours’ visa could be issued by the end of this year. The multi-entry visa will be like the Schengen visa and will grant entry to all six Gulf countries.
The announcement of the “GCC Grand Tours” visa was made by the United Arab Emirates Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, during the opening of the annual travel and tourism event Arabian Travel Market (ATM) that began last week.
With the “GCC Grand Tours” visa, travelers can discover the diverse attractions, historical sites, and natural wonders spanning across member states, building closer ties and enhancing the overall tourist experience.
The GCC Grand Tours visa would help the Emiratis and other globetrotters from the region to explore the historic countries without the hassle of getting separate visa for each country.
