Iran Announces to Free Pakistanis on Seized Ship by IRGC

ISLAMABAD – Good news as Iran announced to release Pakistani citizens who were stranded on a ship seized by IRGC on Monday 

Sources suggest that they will release individuals after verifying their nationalities and completing necessary legal procedures.

Reza Amiri Moqadam, the Iranian envoy to Pakistan, stated that they are waiting for confirmation of Pakistani nationals on the ship and have already shared details with relevant officials.

This decision came after the efforts of the Pakistani Foreign Office for the release of stranded Pakistanis on the ship now under seizure by the IRGC.

MSC Aries was operated by a London based corporation as the IRGC seized it.The ship was travelling from India to UAE.

International organisations are still trying to take the ship back and to ensure the safety of people on board.
