The UAE has decided to hold grand celebrations for its National Day, which may also bring a long weekend.
Preparations are in full swing for the 54th National Day of the United Arab Emirates, which will be celebrated on December 2. The day marks the historic unification of the seven emirates that laid the foundation of the modern UAE. The government has confirmed that Tuesday and Wednesday, December 2 and 3, will be public holidays. With the weekend in place, residents are expected to enjoy a four-day long break. Under national holiday rules, there is also a possibility of this long weekend extending to five days, giving citizens and residents more time to celebrate. This year’s celebrations will open with a grand ceremony attended by the country’s leadership.
Although the official venue has not yet been disclosed, the event will be held at a prominent cultural and national location on December 2. The ceremony is expected to showcase the UAE’s achievements, heritage, and vision for the future. Across the emirates, public spaces, landmarks, and buildings are already being decorated with lights, flags, and national symbols. Shopping malls and community centers are preparing special events, while concerts, parades, and fireworks will add color to the celebrations. Schools and organizations are also planning cultural programs to highlight the UAE’s unity and progress since its formation.
