The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have resolved their long-running disagreement over transferring 729 properties.
Sources claim that the DHA has sent 729 plot allocation letters in CDA’s favour. The public, especially Pakistanis living abroad, will now be able to purchase residential plots from CDA.
According to sources, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa presided over a meeting that took place at CDA headquarters and determined this.
Every board member and senior official of the authority was present during the meeting.
The long-standing dispute between CDA and DHA over the distribution of 729 plots was successfully resolved during the conference.
After CDA gave DHA 2,412 canals and five marlas of land in accordance with an agreement in 2007 or 2008, the issue had been hanging over and unsolved.
Although the arrangement could not be realized for years, CDA was originally supposed to acquire 729 plots against that property. Now, DHA has given the 729 plots to CDA under a new deal.
The authority was able to get these plots, which are valued at billions of rupees, by proactive measures and a constructive attitude, according to CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, who made this statement during the meeting. The matter has been unsolved for over 15 years.
