ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority has announced its decision to develop a safari park in Islamabad.
This will be the first-of-its-kind safari park in the federal capital. The move seeks to enhance recreational and conservation facilities in addition to providing necessary facilities for the protection of endangered species.
“The safari park will feature treehouses, arrangements for close observation of animals and an animal rehabilitation center. A technical team has been formed to create the wildlife safari park. The technical team will review the technical and financial aspects of the safari park,” the authority said in a tweet.
CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed the officials concerned to take appropriate steps for swift completion of the task at hand. The meeting formed a technical team and tasked it with preparing a feasibility report for this ambitious project.
Chairman Randhawa further directed CDA officials to model Islamabad’s safari park after international safari projects and ensure that it has top-notch facilities.
These projects reflect our commitment to developing state-of-the-art facilities that not only provide entertainment but also promote wildlife conservation and cultural enrichment,” said Randhawa.
CDA is expected to become working on safari park as well as its ‘Pakistan Street’ project following the completion of technical evaluation.
