RAWALPINDI – The newly elected Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawas stated that she wants the Rawalpindi Ring Road Project completed by December 2024.
The Rawalpindi Ring Road project is a massive project in terms of infrastructure and development of the twin cities and roads.
It is going to be extremely beneficial for the residents of Rawalpindi in terms of creating job opportunities and for diverting heavy traffic from the metropolis.
New CM Maryam Nawaz visited the project for its inspection and timeline. Once Maryam Nawaz reached the site area she was briefed by officials from NESPAK and FWO.

Chief Minister Maryam was accompanied by Pervaiz Rasheed, Former Senator. Uzma Bukhari, Sania Ashiq and Rawalpindi Commissioner during her visit.
According to sources, CM Maryam was told that 24% of the work has already been completed and the rest 76% will be completed by February 2025.
However, she urged the officials that the work must be completed by December 2024 due to the challenges it has created for the local populace.
She also stated that all interchanges made alongside village areas will be named after those villages for their identity to bolster on.
The project includes the construction of five interchanges, 11 overpasses, bridges over two rivers, six canals, and a railway bridge.
Additionally, along the Rawalpindi Ring Road, there will be 15 subways and 53 small bridges built, along with the establishment of a designated resting area.
