Education dept notifies new timings for Islamabad schools

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has notified new timings for schools across the capital city.

The FDE, in its notification on Monday, said the new timings will come into effect from August 5, 2024, when educational institutions reopen following summer holidays.

What are the new school timings in Islamabad?

The directorate had previously extended the summer vacations for schools and colleges in Islamabad till August 4 due to scorching heat in the country.

“Due to the intense hot and humid weather in the district Federal Capital, it has been decided to extend summer vacation in ICT schools/colleges till August 4, 2024,” said a notification issued on Sunday.

Last week, the Sindh Education Department extended the summer vacations for the educational institutions till August 14 owing to weather conditions.
