Freezing cold in Islamabad as temperature drops to -1°C

Islamabad experienced freezing conditions on Tuesday morning, with temperatures dropping to -1°C, as reported by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The PMD also forecasted that the federal capital would experience cold and dry weather throughout the day with severe cold conditions during the early hours.

The chilly weather has affected daily life, with residents braving the cold as they go about their routines. 

The low temperatures combined with dry conditions have made the mornings especially harsh as people struggle to stay warm.

The cold wave is expected to continue  with no immediate relief in sight. 

The PMD has advised the public to take extra precautions to avoid the adverse effects of the cold especially in the early hours of the day when the temperature is at its lowest.

The impact of the cold weather is not limited to the capital.

Other parts of the country are also experiencing a drop in temperatures as the winter season tightens its grip.

Authorities are urging people, particularly those in rural areas and higher altitudes, to prepare for more severe conditions.

As winter settles in Islamabad residents are advised to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary measures to protect themselves from the extreme cold. 

The PMD’s predictions indicate that this cold spell may last for several more days with temperatures potentially dropping further in the coming days.
