RAWALPINDI – In a shocking incident, Track Pieces of the Metro Bus Track in Rawalpindi fell on the service road during Repair work at Six Rod, Rawalpindi. Fortunately, the incident did not result in any casualties and no injuries were reported.
Repair work on the Mero Trak Six Road, Rawalpindi ha been going on for some time. However, during repairs, the track pieces fell on the road.
In what could’ve been a disaster, resulted in no injuries fortunately. The road was diligently and immediately cleared so no blockade could form.
The Chief Minister Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi took notice and urged that the repair work be completed as soon as possible.
Moreover, CM Punjab also urged the Secretary of Transport to investigate into the incident and find out what caused it.
The Six Road Metro Bus Station was damaged in riots after the arrest of ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The repair work was initiated by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) in November last month and was scheduled to be completed by the end of December, 2023.
However, now the repairs are scheduled to conclude in the second week of January, 2024.
