A young woman Wajdan Rao who rose to fame through her appearance in the hit song Bado Badi by Chahat Fateh Ali, has alleged that she was harassed by an inDrive bike rider.
According to the girl, she booked an inDrive ride like usual, but the rider shocked her by asking if she wanted a body massage. Staying calm, she continued the conversation and secretly recorded the driver’s inappropriate behavior.
The girl claimed that the driver told her he was a masseur and offered full-body massages to young girls. He also asked if she had a place or could take him to her home. Feeling unsafe, she kept recording to gather evidence.
After the ride, she shared the entire experience on social media, where she expressed her discomfort and fear during the journey. She alleged that the driver made inappropriate comments and gestures and insisted on giving her a massage at her home.
The incident led to public anger, especially among women, who feel unsafe using public or ride-hailing transport services. The girl also questioned in Driver’s responsibility, saying the company should conduct strict checks when hiring drivers. She called the incident a result of the company’s carelessness and lack of professionalism.
The victim has filed a police complaint and is now seeking legal action against the driver. Many social media users, including celebrities and influencers, appreciated the girl’s bravery in coming forward and sharing her story. They urged authorities and companies to take strong steps to improve passenger safety.
This incident has once again highlighted the urgent need for better safety measures, stronger background checks, and stricter laws to protect women using ride-hailing services in Pakistan.
