World-renowned tennis player Sania Mirza revealed that she has been experiencing mental stress and anxiety attacks since her divorce from ex-husband Shoaib Malik, while speaking about the challenges she faced after their separation.
She revealed that before going live for the first time, she was extremely nervous, her body was shaking, and her heart was racing so fast that she almost decided to quit. However, filmmaker Farah Khan arrived from her film set to support her and encouraged her to go on with the show. Sania said that Farah’s words gave her the strength to continue and face the moment with confidence.
Talking about life as a single mother, Sania said that it requires readjusting everything — from travel and training to sleep and daily routines. She mentioned that small tasks like taking her child to school and maintaining bedtime routines have now become her biggest priorities. Though it is challenging, she said she remains strong for her child and continues to find balance between work and parenting.
Sania highlighted the importance of true friendships during hard times, explaining that Farah Khan stood by her when she needed emotional support the most. She said that such friendships give courage to move forward, focus on family, and keep working toward one’s goals. She added that becoming a single mother taught her to rebuild her life step by step. Despite all difficulties, the love and support from her close friends helped her regain strength and confidence. In the end, Sania said that she wants people to understand that life can be rebuilt even after painful experiences like divorce.
