10 terrorists killed, 8 injured in North Waziristan operation

According to the military’s media wing, security forces in the North Waziristan district killed ten terrorists and wounded eight more during three separate encounters on Sunday.

Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan’s Spinwam Tehsil, resulting in the killing of 10 terrorists and the injury of 8 others.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops engaged two terrorists during an intense firefight, sending them “to hell.”

In a separate incident, security forces intercepted a group attempting to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, killing two terrorists and injuring two others.

The operation aimed at eliminating terrorist presence in the region and was part of a broader sanitization effort.

Earlier, six terrorists were killed, and six injured in a similar operation in the same area. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists, who had been involved in numerous attacks on security forces and civilians.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their bravery and professionalism, reaffirming the commitment to eradicating terrorism.

This operation follows a recent surge in attacks targeting security forces, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as the TTP continues its assault after breaking a ceasefire agreement in 2022.
