Armed forces’ skills boost Pakistan’s global image: Field Marshal

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to supporting the federal and provincial governments, emphasising that coordinated national efforts and institutional synergy are essential for lasting peace, stability and prosperity, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

Participants of the National Security Workshop–27 visited General Headquarters today to learn about Pakistan’s regional and internal security situation. During the visit, they attended detailed briefings on the current national security environment and ongoing challenges facing the country.

During the session, the delegation held an interactive meeting with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff. He highlighted the fluid regional situation shaped by cross-border terrorism, hybrid threats, and increasing geopolitical competition. Despite these challenges, he said the Pakistan Armed Forces, intelligence agencies, and law enforcement continue to show professionalism and determination in protecting national security.

He also emphasized that Pakistan is a country of significance and is destined to achieve its rightful place among nations. The COAS noted that the Armed Forces’ commitment and performance during major operations have strengthened Pakistan’s global standing. He stressed that national unity is the country’s greatest strength and together, Pakistan will overcome the designs of its enemies.

Participants were briefed on efforts to curb illegal activities, including smuggling, narcotics trafficking, and organized crime that threaten security. Updates were also shared on enhanced border control measures and the repatriation of illegal foreigners, aimed at ensuring internal stability and protecting national interests.

The COAS reaffirmed that safeguarding territorial integrity and the security of every Pakistani citizen is the top priority of the Pakistan Army and will not be compromised. He concluded by highlighting the importance of coordination between federal and provincial governments to maintain peace, stability, and prosperity.
