Murree has been experiencing continuous rain and thick fog for the past two days, causing traffic disruptions and raising safety concerns for both locals and tourists.
Due to the worsening weather conditions across the country, the district administration has issued fresh safety guidelines for the public. People living in or traveling through rain-affected areas have been strongly advised to stay away from streams and low-lying places, as flash floods could occur suddenly. Officials have also urged everyone to avoid unnecessary travel during rain and fog. Those who must travel are advised to make sure their vehicles are equipped with fog lights to reduce accident risks in poor visibility.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more rain with strong winds in many parts of the country, especially in the northern areas. There is also a warning for possible landslides in hilly regions, especially in and around Murree. Travelers and locals have been told to stay in safe areas and strictly follow all instructions from rescue teams and local officials. With more rain expected in the coming days, authorities have appealed to the public to stay alert and prepared for any emergency.
Rescue departments are also on high alert and monitoring the situation closely. The public is advised to report any emergency immediately and cooperate with response teams for their own safety.
