The federal government has announced a reduction in Hajj 2025 package costs, making the pilgrimage more affordable for Pakistani pilgrims.
The 40-day Hajj package, originally priced at Rs1,075,000, has been cut by Rs25000, bringing it down to Rs1,050,000. The 25-day short Hajj package saw a larger reduction of Rs50000, now priced at Rs1100000.
This adjustment comes after talks between Pakistani and Saudi officials to make the pilgrimage more affordable. As part of the new arrangements, pilgrims must pay the third installment for their Hajj packages, which amounts to Rs450000 for the long package and Rs500,000 for the short package. Payments can be made at designated banks from February 6 to 14.
Additionally, the government has announced a Rs4.75 billion refund for last year’s pilgrims. The 2025 Hajj agreement allows 179,210 Pakistanis to perform the pilgrimage, with improved services and lower accommodation costs in Mina. To ensure a smoother experience, the government will launch a special mobile app providing real-time updates, flight details, training schedules, and live maps for pilgrims.
These updates aim to enhance the Hajj experience by improving travel, accommodation, and communication. The government is focused on making the pilgrimage as convenient and affordable as possible for Pakistani pilgrims.
