Business registration simplified as KP clears Aasan Karobar bill 2025

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has approved the Aasan Karobar Bill 2025, aimed at making business registration and licensing easier through a single online portal.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has passed the Aasan Karobar Bill 2025 to make business operations simpler and more transparent. The new law introduces a unified digital system for business registration, licenses, and permits, aiming to cut red tape and support entrepreneurs in the province. The portal will offer digital IDs, issue licenses, and process permits with e-payment facilities. This initiative aims to cut down paperwork and give entrepreneurs a single platform to manage their business needs more easily and efficiently.

The legislation also sets up the Ease of Doing Business Directorate, which will function under Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. The directorate will be responsible for designing, renewing, and managing services related to business regulations. It will also create and maintain the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Regulatory Registry to ensure smooth operations. According to government officials, the purpose of this new framework is to bring efficiency, transparency, and accountability by connecting all relevant departments and regulatory bodies into a single platform. This integration will help in removing delays that businesses often face due to lengthy bureaucratic procedures.

Authorities further explained that the law is designed to encourage investment and promote trade by offering a simplified and transparent process for entrepreneurs and investors. They stressed that with this system, businesses will not only save time but also gain confidence in the government’s efforts to create a more business-friendly environment. The provincial government believes that the new bill will boost economic activity by making it easier for people to start and expand their businesses, ultimately contributing to growth and development across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
