Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the ‘Suthra Punjab’ Programme, aiming to achieve a clean and waste-free province within three months.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced plans for an integrated waste management system to ensure a cleaner, waste-free Punjab.
During the event, she strongly criticised recent PTI protests, accusing the party of promoting violence.
She cited the deaths of a policeman and four Rangers, along with injuries to 170 officers, and claimed that PTI protesters resorted to gunfire. Challenging PTI’s claims, she asked, “Show us a single video of your injured protesters.”
Maryam also announced a compensation package for victims, offering Rs29 million to the family of the martyred constable and Rs1 million to injured officers.
In addition, she assured citizens of Punjab’s progress with promises of 100,000 new jobs and improved infrastructure to support development.
She urged citizens to play their role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring peace in the province. Maryam reaffirmed her commitment to building a prosperous and progressive Punjab for future generations.
