ISLAMABAD –In response to ongoing Middle East tensions, the caretaker government has announced a significant increase in Petrol prices, effective from February 1, 2024.
This decision, approved by the Finance Division, follows the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
Starting midnight on February 1st, petrol prices will surge by Rs13.55 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs272.89.
Similarly, the cost of high-speed diesel will rise by Rs2.75 per litre, reaching Rs278.96.The price adjustments coincide with escalating conflict in the region, notably Israel’s continued military actions in Gaza. .
