FBISE postpones Inter Part II exams scheduled for Oct 16; check new date

Due to a holiday in twin cities for the SCO summit, the Intermediate HSSC 2nd Annual Examination, originally set for October 16, 2024, has been rescheduled.

Islamabad and Rawalpindi will observe three holidays for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, which is scheduled for October 14–16, 2024.

All other commitments, according to the FBISE letter, will, nevertheless, take place in line with the previously declared schedule.

In order to ensure the successful conduct of the SCO Heads of State Council Meeting in the nation’s capital, the federal government earlier declared three vacations in the Rawalpindi District and the Islamabad Capital Territory from October 14 to 16, 2024.

The notification states: “Due to the declaration of closed holidays in Rawalpindi District and Islamabad Capital Territory from October 14 to October 16, 2024, papers for the HSSC 2nd Annual Examination, 2024, scheduled for October 16, 2024, have been rescheduled for November 16, 2024, for information and necessary action of all concerned.”

The schedule for the other papers has already been announced.

In the meanwhile, the Cambridge International Exam (CIE) will go on as scheduled; however, in order to minimize any disruptions, students are encouraged to arrive one hour early.
