ISLAMABAD: As many as 27 officers of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) have been reported to the admin pool over reports of incompetency and alleged corrupt practices.
Sixteen of these senior officers belonged to the Inland Revenue, whereas the remaining 11 had previously worked in the Customs department. FBR said in its notification these officers would not be assigned any important position in future.
The notification contains a list of names of these 27 men and women. Commissioner Inland Revenue Sialkot Razi Rahman Khan, Commissioner Regional Tax Office Lahore Humira Maryam, and Commissioner Income Tax Multan Pir Khalid Ahmed are among the 16 officers transferred to the admin pool.
Collector Customs Appeal Islamabad Dr. Akhtar Hussain, Director Audit Post Clearance Samiul Haq, and Chief FBR Ambreen Ahmed Tarar – on the other hand – are part of the Customs lot notified to the admin pool.

FBR had previously transferred 25 of its senior officers on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif after a report raised objective on their competency and and financial integrity.
