The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has taken action against eight illegal housing schemes and informal settlements in the Dijkot area by demolishing unauthorized infrastructure.
According to reports, the action was taken after officials discovered the development of four unauthorized housing societies and four katchi abadis in Chak No. 262-RB and Chak No. 263-RB. The illegal housing schemes included Gulshan-e-Habib, New Gulberg, Hidayat Town, and Ali Garden. During the operation, FDA teams demolished boundary walls, roads, and other built structures linked to these unauthorized developments.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Asma Mohsin, Director Town Planning, and Aneeb Aslam Randhawa, Estate Officer. The teams acted on clear evidence and took immediate action to stop further development. Officials have warned private developers to follow all legal procedures before starting any construction or sale of land. They said that no housing scheme will be allowed to operate without proper approval from the FDA.
Authorities have made it clear that failure to comply with the rules can lead to further legal consequences. This could include registration of FIRs and other criminal proceedings. The FDA aims to protect citizens from fraud and ensure planned urban development in Faisalabad. Residents are also advised to check the legal status of any housing society before investing their money. The department has reaffirmed its commitment to continue strict action against illegal housing projects across the city to ensure compliance with building and planning regulations.
