The Election Commission of Pakistan has revealed the final list for constituencies of the General elections 2 months before they are scheduled. The data indicates that 60 seats are reserved for women and the Elections are scheduled to start on February 8, 2024.
Due to Article 51(5) of the constitution and Section17 of the Election Act 2017, the Digital Delimitation Housing Census-2023 was the baseline for the delimitation of population. On August 7, the results were published by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

In addition to the above-mentioned seats, there are a total of 10 reserved seats in the National Assembly for non-muslims. Due to this the total seats amount to 336.
The elections are scheduled to be held in February of 2024, specifically starting on February 8th, 2024. The caretaker government has assured ECP that they will assist anyhow in the setup of the forthcoming elections.

However, PTI officials have shown concerns over the ‘meted out’ to the leadership of PTA, especially now that party leader Imran Khan has been arrested and is being held at Adyala Jail and due to the protests of PTI supporters in May.
The PTI chairman Imran Khan wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan on Tuesday to request the protection of the fundamental rights of the party.
