Four out of seven children die of monkeypox in Khairpur

Khairpur reels from heartbreak as monkeypox kills four out of seven sick children.

The deputy commissioner confirms the virus struck hard, with skin woes felling seven young lives total. Commissioner Abid Saleem Qureshi notes four deaths tie straight to monkeypox, while some kids battled measles too. Nineteen children now fight the rash-like illness. Most tragedies hit the Thariwah area, sparking fear in homes.

Officials act fast emergency teams lock down spots to stop the spread. Sukkur Division sets up isolation wards across sites. Doctors treat patients there, shielding others from germs. Health crews hunt for cases door-to-door and hand out safety kits. Monkeypox spreads from animals like rodents or monkeys in Africa. The virus hides in them but jumps to people.

It starts with fever, then rashes bloom on face and body. Spots turn from flat marks to blisters, then scabs. Sufferers feel headaches, sore muscles, tiredness, and swollen glands. Symptoms kick in 7 to 14 days after catch, lasting 2 to 4 weeks. Kids face higher risks, so parents watch close.

Wash hands often, dodge sick folks, and shun wild animals. Vaccines help in hot zones get advice from docs. Early care saves lives. Leaders boost funds for tests and beds. Schools close in risk spots, and markets screen crowds. Families mourn but unite for safety. Khairpur pushes back—stay alert, report rashes fast. Health ministry tracks all leads. This fight guards tomorrow’s kids.
