Govt announces scholarships for children of overseas Pakistanis

The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation rolls out the OPEF Scholarship 2026 to ease education costs for children and spouses of overseas Pakistanis studying in Pakistan.

This scholarship offers direct financial assistance for intermediate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees. It includes critical sectors such as MBBS, BDS, engineering, and master’s programmes in public or private universities across Pakistan. Moreover, the applicant must have 60% marks or a 2.5 CGPA in the last examination from HEC-recognized institutions. The applicant’s parents or spouse must be included in the Overseas Protection Fund (OPF) confirmed by the Protector of Emigrants stamp.

Household income should be less than Rs200000. Also, no other scholarships were granted in the same year. Special compassionate allowance for children of deceased OPF members. Authorities emphasise the convenience of downloading forms from the OPF website or visiting their Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Multan, Quetta, and Mirpur AJK offices. Apply by April 30, 2026 – after this date, no applications.
