The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced plans to accommodate 5,000 additional pilgrims under the Hajj 2025 scheme, reflecting its commitment to improving services for Pakistani pilgrims.
This update was shared during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Religious Affairs, chaired by MNA Aamir Dogar, where preparations for the upcoming Hajj season were extensively discussed.
Improved Hajj 2025 Services for Pilgrims
The meeting focused on enhancing key services to ensure a smoother experience for pilgrims:
- High-Quality Meals: Authorities emphasized maintaining strict food quality standards for all participants.
- Comprehensive Training: Enhanced training programs will prepare pilgrims for Hajj rituals, addressing concerns raised by committee members.
- Awareness Initiatives: Chairman Dogar praised the success of awareness campaigns conducted through Hajj camps, highlighting their role in educating pilgrims.
Pakistan Houses in Makkah and Madinah
A notable issue discussed was the absence of Pakistan Houses in Makkah and Madinah. Responding to concerns raised by Asiya Naz Tanoli, the Secretary of Religious Affairs clarified that Saudi regulations prohibit the construction of facilities on private land. Despite this limitation, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring necessary services for pilgrims.
Challenges in Service Provision for Hajj 2025
The meeting also addressed the challenges of maintaining certain facilities. Previously free amenities, such as water coolers, are now subject to charges. However, officials assured the committee that steps would be taken to mitigate these challenges and deliver essential services efficiently.
Government’s Commitment
The government reiterated its dedication to the welfare and convenience of Hajj participants. Efforts to enhance the overall experience include prioritizing the needs of pilgrims and addressing logistical issues.
These developments underline the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to facilitating a seamless and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for Pakistani pilgrims.
