Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah, have signed the annual Hajj 2025 agreement.
As per the agreement, 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj this year, with new initiatives to improve their experience.
Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah assured the Pakistani Minister that all necessary steps would be taken to provide the best facilities for Pakistani pilgrims, including special accommodation in Mina at discounted rates. A new short Hajj program has been introduced, offering durations of 20 to 25 days, making it easier for pilgrims to complete the pilgrimage. Pilgrims will also have the option of staying in Madina for 4 to 8 days, with more flexible accommodation options.
Each pilgrim will receive a specially designed bag containing the Pakistani flag, a QR code for identification, and essential information. A dedicated mobile app will keep pilgrims updated on group details, training schedules, flight information, accommodation, and live maps of key pilgrimage sites.
In addition, Mr. Hussain will attend a four-day international Hajj conference and expo in Jeddah, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj. The event will focus on improving facilities and services for pilgrims. The Hajj quota for Pakistan is allocated by the Saudi Ministry based on the country’s Muslim population, ensuring an organized and comfortable pilgrimage for Pakistani citizens.
