Pakistan is ready to celebrate Independence Day with patriotic zeal, with festivities kicking off in the federal capital this evening.
Pakistan is set to mark Independence Day with grand celebrations at Jinnah Stadium, featuring a flypast by JF-17 Thunder jets, national songs, and a musical show. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal ministers, Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other notable figures will attend the ceremony. During the event, the Prime Minister will also unveil the Marka-e-Haq Monument in honor of Pakistan’s victory in the historic battle. Military contingents from Turkiye and Azerbaijan will join the celebrations, adding an international dimension to the festivities.
In addition to the stadium program, the Pakistan Armed Forces will display a wide range of defense equipment at the Shakarparian Parade Ground on Thursday. The exhibition will be open to the public from 10 a.m., allowing visitors to view weaponry, aircraft, tanks, and other equipment used during Marka-e-Haq. The display will also include artillery, rocket launchers, armored vehicles, radars, and military transports. The Pakistan Air Force will further enhance the celebrations with an aerial display and para-jumping performance, showcasing the skill and professionalism of its personnel. These events aim to highlight the country’s defense capabilities while honoring the sacrifices and achievements that contributed to Pakistan’s independence and security.
With vibrant participation from both local and international forces, this year’s Independence Day promises to be a patriotic and memorable occasion for the nation.
