An Indian citizen has been arrested in Mandi Bahauddin on charges of illegally entering and residing in Pakistan.
In a recent operation, authorities raided the Moong area in Saddar following a tip-off. They arrested Badal Singh, a resident of Nagla Khatkari, Aligarh, after he failed to provide a valid visa or permit.
A case was filed against him, and he was presented in court, where a judge ordered a 14 day judicial remand. Meanwhile, in a separate operation, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) intercepted a human smuggling attempt at Karachi’s airport.
Four individuals, including the smuggler, were arrested while trying to travel illegally to Poland via Azerbaijan. The detained individuals were identified as Haseeb Ahmed, Qaiser Ahmed, Usman Ali, and Abdul Shakoor, the agent facilitating the attempt.
According to an FIA spokesperson, evidence retrieved from Shakoor’s phone revealed his links to an Indian agent, Gautam Sharma, who had been involved in organizing the illegal migration plan.
These actions highlight the FIA’s ongoing efforts to combat human smuggling and illegal immigration. The government remains committed to enforcing immigration laws and cracking down on illegal activities. Authorities continue to investigate and monitor such cases to prevent future attempts of illegal migration.
