Iran’s FM holds talks with Asim Munir in Islamabad

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi met Field Marshal Asim Munir in Islamabad.

They discussed the ongoing situation in the Middle East. Now, both nations strengthen ties during tough times. The Iranian embassy released details of this first official visit. Araqchi flew into Pakistan yesterday with a few aides. As a result, key talks kicked off quickly.

According to diplomatic sources, several top officials joined the meeting. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi attended. The National Security Advisor, General Asim Malik was also present. DG Military Intelligence was there too. Iran sent a strong team. Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi was there. Iranian Ambassador to Islamabad Amiri Moqadam turned up.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghai joined the delegation. The talks were about regional peace, sources say. Pakistan and Iran are concerned about Middle East tensions. This is part of a diplomatic push. Araqchi will then meet Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif today. They will discuss security, trade and cooperation.

The visit underscores Pakistan-Iran ties. Pakistan and Iran share border and world challenges. So, leaders look for answers together. Araqchi’s brief visit is a sign of urgency. Islamabaders followed events. The media reported the visit and meetings. Officials kept confidential but there were positive signals. This is a timely development. South Asia is impacted too. Pakistan is hosting the talks for peace. Iran values the support.
