Abbasi Shaheed Hospital received the highest number of patients at 43, followed by Jinnah Hospital with 41, and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Trauma Center with 30 cases.

Authorities noted that this year’s toll is the highest in recent memory for Independence Day celebrations. Last year, two people died and 100 were injured during similar incidents. Police have intensified operations across the city, conducting raids that led to arrests and the seizure of firearms linked to the shootings. Officials warned that strict action will be taken against anyone endangering public safety during festivities.

The city administration and law enforcement agencies have urged citizens to celebrate responsibly and abandon dangerous practices such as aerial firing. They stressed that joy should never come at the cost of lives and called for community cooperation to ensure future celebrations remain safe and peaceful.
