Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has claimed that the ongoing conflict involving Iran is part of a broader strategy aimed at expanding Israeli influence closer to Pakistan’s borders.
He warned that the broader strategic objectives of Western and allied powers could pose serious risks to Pakistan’s security. In his remarks, Asif described Zionism as a major threat to humanity. He stated that since the creation of Israel on Palestinian land, conflicts and crises in the Islamic world have reflected the direct or indirect influence of Zionist ideology.
Furthermore, he claimed that Zionism has shaped global economic systems for decades and that powerful nations remain under its influence. Highlighting Pakistan’s position, the defence minister stressed that the country is a nuclear power with globally recognized armed forces. He paid tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs and veterans for defending national sovereignty.
In addition, he acknowledged former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for conducting nuclear tests, which, he said, established Pakistan’s nuclear capability on the world stage. Referring to the ongoing situation involving Iran, Asif argued that despite Iran’s willingness to reach an agreement, war was imposed upon it. He warned that efforts to expand Israeli influence toward Pakistan’s borders form part of a broader regional agenda.
Moreover, he cautioned that any alignment involving Afghanistan, Iran, and India against Pakistan could increase border tensions and strategic pressure. Therefore, he urged all Pakistanis, regardless of political or religious differences, to remain united and vigilant in the face of what he described as emerging security challenges.
