Building your own house now becomes easier as the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rolled out a major housing initiative called Ehsaas Apna Ghar, offering interest-free loans for the masses.
This new initiative aims to provide interest-free loans to deserving individuals who struggle with housing due to financial constraints. Advisor to the Chief Minister on Housing Dr. Amjad Ali announced that under this scheme, eligible citizens will receive loans of up to Rs15 lakh. These loans will help people construct or complete their own houses. The program is specifically designed for those earning less than Rs1 lakh per month.
The repayment period for the loan will be seven years, making it easier for beneficiaries to manage their finances. Monthly installments have been fixed at Rs18000, which is seen as a reasonable amount for low-income households.
This housing scheme is part of the government’s larger vision to improve living standards and provide secure shelter for the underprivileged. By offering interest-free financial support, the KP government is aiming to reduce the housing shortage and promote self-reliance among citizens.
Officials believe that this step will not only help reduce the financial burden on poor families but will also create economic activity in the construction sector. The initiative is expected to benefit thousands of people across the province.
Applications for the scheme will soon be open, and a transparent process will be followed to select the most deserving applicants. The provincial government has also ensured that regular monitoring will be carried out to ensure proper use of funds and timely completion of houses.
