Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Tuesday launched a landmark initiative to provide free higher education to female students and orphaned children across the province.
He launched the Insaf Female Education Card, a new initiative that will provide free higher education to around 55,000 female students across the province. This program aims to remove financial barriers and help young women pursue their academic goals with greater ease. The chief minister emphasized that education is the foundation of progress and said his government is fully committed to ensuring equal learning opportunities for all students, regardless of their background. He added that investing in education, especially for women, is essential for the long-term development of society and the economy.
Moreover, he directed the concerned departments to introduce an internship program to help graduates gain hands-on experience and prepare for professional careers. This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills, allowing students to transition smoothly into the job market.
The chief minister highlighted that these efforts reflect the government’s broader vision of empowering youth and promoting gender equality in education. He assured that more projects would be introduced to strengthen the education system and provide better facilities in schools and colleges. Through these initiatives, the provincial government aims to create an inclusive educational environment where every student, especially women and orphans, can achieve their full potential and contribute to the development of the country.
