The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has removed the ban on appointments, transfers, and recruitments of government employees.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, officers of grade 17 and above can now be transferred with the approval of the concerned administrative secretary, minister, advisor, or special assistant. The Chief Minister has instructed that every department must follow the rules and procedures while implementing these orders to maintain good governance.
The decision marks a major administrative step aimed at improving efficiency and addressing the backlog of transfer and posting cases that had been pending due to the previous ban. The Chief Minister also directed departments to expedite the recruitment process to fill vacant positions and strengthen administrative operations across the province. The notification further stated that Grade 20 senior police officer Muhammad Ali Gandapur has been appointed as Additional IG Elite Force Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Muhammad Hussain has been posted as DIG Crime and Investigation.
These new appointments reflect the government’s commitment to reorganize key departments for better performance and accountability. Moreover, the Punjab government has also directed the early release of salaries for government employees, ensuring payment by October 31. This move comes as part of broader administrative reforms aimed at improving employee welfare and ensuring the smooth functioning of government institutions. The Chief Minister has made it clear that all departments must ensure strict compliance with these directives and maintain a transparent process in all recruitment and transfer-related matters to restore public trust in government institutions.
