PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has launched an internship programme for overseas Pakistani medical students.
Advisor to KP CM on Health, Ahtisham Ali, announced the initiative on Friday during a speech at the provincial assembly.
This initiative aims to support students who have obtained degrees from foreign medical colleges and universities.
Ali clarified that these internships will be awarded based on merit and available in all teaching medical institutions across the province, albeit on limited seats.
However, Ali highlighted two primary challenges that the program might face, that there are only limited seats available and secondally, the financial constraints.
Despite these hurdles, the government is committed to providing opportunities to deserving students, he said.
