Lahore, Multan schools to reopen from tomorrow as smog eases

Major annoucnement for school students as all government educaitonal institutions in Lahore and Multan, which had been closed due to hazardous air quality caused by smog, will reopen tomorrow as air pollution levels have significantly improved.

Skies in provincial capital and parts of Punjab are clearer, and sunny weather is expected to continue in coming days. To ensure safety of students and staff, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued new guidelines for schools, including Mandatory Mask-Wearing.

All students, staff, and teachers must wear masks to minimize exposure to any lingering pollutants.Indoor Activities: Schools are encouraged to conduct classes and activities indoors to reduce outdoor exposure. More indoor breaks should be scheduled to limit the time spent outdoors during high pollution periods.
