GWADAR – Core Commander of Balochistan, Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem paid a visit to the flood-hit areas and locations of Gwadar on Sunday.
Gwadar has been very badly hit with heavy rains in the last few days which caused massive flash-floods and destruction along several areas.
The Pakistani Army has been at the forefront of carrying relief operations for the affected victims of these massive flood-hit areas in the region.
Lt-General Rahat Naseem paid a first-hand visit to the flood-hit areas on Sunday to personally assess the situation for further operations and support.
He was accompanied by the General Officer in Command(GOC) of Gwadar Division. He had constructive and crucial discussions with the local populace in Gwadar.

During the Core Commander’s visit, he was briefed about the immediate actions and relief measures taken by the relief teams for the victims of the floods.
He had crucial and pivotal discussions with the social leaders alongside the regional leaders of the location on further measures for the victims.
He affirmed the steadfast and long-lasting commitment of the Pakistan Army to support the people of Balochistan through such tough times.
He stated that aid teams will continue to provide assistance of any sort with the relief teams and operations will be underway till all the citizens are safe and sound.
Furthermore, he expedited 17 water pumps (Small and large) from Quetta to Gwadar to deal with the water-management crisis in the region.

This visit provides a stance of the Pakistani Army to be a beacon of hope and light for the people of Balochistan and Pakistan.
Pakistan Army is usually always first for aid and immediate evacuation and relief operations in flood-affected areas of the nation alongside any other natural disasters such as earthquakes.
Heavy rains in the last few days have caused unbelievable damage to several areas of Gwadar, Makran, and numerous other parts of Balochistan.
This has led to the disruption of traffic alongside the elimination of several points of entry into the province creating more problems.
Extended rainfalls of upto 30 hours consecutively caused massive flash floods which in consequence deployed the paramilitary personnel of forces for rescue operations.
At the moment, the district administration has declared a national emergency for the rain-affected areas of Gwadar.
