Mobile service partially down in Karachi

Mobile phone services and internet connectivity have been severely disrupted in various parts of Karachi.

Several main areas in Karachi faced disruptions due to security and traffic changes. These areas include M.A Jinnah Road, II Chundrigar Road, Clifton, Shahrah-e-Faisal, and the surroundings of Lyari Expressway. The changes came after the arrival of famous Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik in Karachi. He is expected to attend several religious gatherings in the city.

To ensure safety and smooth movement in the city, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori held a high-level meeting with police and city officials. He gave clear instructions to make strong and well-planned security arrangements for all events where Dr. Zakir Naik will speak. The Governor also told officials to create a solid traffic management plan to keep traffic flowing across the city. He said traffic jams must be avoided, and people should not face unnecessary problems due to road closures.

The meeting also reviewed the overall law and order situation. Police and other law enforcement agencies were told to work together and stay alert throughout Dr. Zakir Naik’s visit. Security will be tight around all venues where he will be speaking. Officials also agreed to monitor important roads and entry points of the city. More police will be deployed at key locations to maintain peace and prevent any disturbance.

Citizens are advised to follow the instructions issued by traffic police and local authorities to avoid inconvenience. The administration aims to keep the city peaceful and ensure a safe environment for the gatherings.
